Prapradaeng Songkran Festival, Samutprakarn 2014

Activity:
Songkran at Prapadaeng or originally called “Songkran Pak Lud” is the Songkran that was inherited from the Raman culture. The identity of the Raman style Songkran, especially one week after the 13th of April, is that every village will parade the Songkran Pageant, Flower parades and the Raman villagers that dress up in the Thai Raman Style. These Raman villagers will set the bird and fish free for merit as they believe that this brings auspiciousity. After the ceremony is done, during the way home, the male villagers will splash water to the female villagers in a gentle way. It is guaranteed that Songkran here at Prapadaeng really preserves the beautiful Thai culture.
